I have been having the challenge of converting everything I would like to do in dollars. In fact, it's got so bad that I even convert my fares into their dollar equivalents. Has this happened to anybody or am I as usual unique? If I need to board a bus to Port Harcourt or Umuahia or even Lagos, I go the extra mile of converting what the MBTA equivalent would or should be. Oh! Of course, I check the distance too to determine whether I'm paying more or less. What's the cost of a visit to the salon? How much in dollars should I pay to get my hair styled in a particular way?
This reminds me so much of Patience Ozokwor in One Dollar movie. My new fetish. My new challenge. I need to start thinking in other hard currency, please. You know, like pound sterling, the euro or even yen. Hmmm...rand, how are you? I got thinking so hard about this last night and I thought to share with y'all. Ehe! What did the newscaster with the NTA say about the naira appreciating against the dollar in last night's network news? Happy weekend to Naira power!
