Yes, you know where I was going with that. I love visiting malls....window shopping hurts nobody. It's pure bliss and good eye candy. I loved to shop in the malls in the USA. Perhaps my love for AMM is just mere nostalgia, wishing that I would go to an organized place and pick out my clothes, for instance. Yes, I can do same in Ariaria International Market or even Ahia Ohuru (New Market) but I don't know if EMS is functional in this part of the world. Many people go to Ariaria every day, but I'm always afraid of passing out in that large expanse of pure Igbo industry. I love my people. We are a very hard working lot. Ariaria, however, gives me a head ache. And since I don't like taking medication, I avoid going to the market as often as possible.
The Launch of Aba Mega Mall, which took May of this year, would afford me the opportunity to shop first class. Hehe...but with a caveat. Did you see the price tag for a store there? Click on the FAQ and see the price list. Ukpabi Ukpabi, it's a lot of money oh! No young NYSC alumnus can afford such money except he didn't do teaching assignment and went into oil bunkering. N4.5 million from whom, please? So, the mall is squarely elitist. And that also tells me that my little savings can't afford the wares there, except I check again. I love the good things of life even if I can't afford them all. Did I hear there's a cinema on the premises too? Don't tell me you aren't even excited to see this Japan in Nigeria work of art biko! It's really good eye candy if all they claim as facilities are present. Shopping and visiting malls provide bonding opportunities for friends and families.
It would be nice to know more about this new thing in town. I'm curious and eager to support this venture. I mean moral support. So don't go punching your calculator yet to ask me how much moral support translates in hard currency. Hian! Softly softly nah.
I consider it a good investment opportunity to buy a shop at the mall. The valuers have their target market. It might not be for the young people; they should check this and correct it if need be. And there is need to engage young people in entrepreneurship and business management. Therefore, if you are heading towards Umuahia, I would like a reserved seat in your car so I could stop by the mall and pay them a courtesy call. I need to feast my eyes on the good things of life. It's been a few years of visiting a mall. Welcome to Abia State and visit our Aba Mega Mall.
