So loved by a rat

Image result for loved by a ratHello everybody, especially the good people of Nigeria. I hope you are having a wonderful day. Bad News: My application for Google AdSense has been disapproved for the third time. Good News: I'm still blogging AdSense or not. Haba! I didn't care about the AdSense on blogger anymore and didn't know one could even monetize a blog ever since I got into blogging since 2007 until recently. So be it. The gist of the day is about these rats or this rat that has been terrorizing my shop. I don't know what to do.

I come to work every day to clean up rat droplets. Oh! It ain't funny. The smell is acrid, smells of ammonia and poop. Eww.... Not nice. The other day, I was happy to get a job to laminate a certificate or was it even an ID card? I got busy with work. First I plugged in my machine and waited it for it to heat up. Everything was going well except for my anxiety to ensure that the machine didn't overheat. (I can't possibly replace a certificate.) We were all waiting until some foul smell caught our nostrils. It was rat urine. In no time it started smelling of rat meat or roasted rat meat. Chei! No. Gosh! A mad rad had peed on my lamination machine. How dare you?!

I didn't know what to do. It was the most unpleasant smell I had smelled in a long time. I was laminating and I didn't know whether to stop but well, I did finish my task and collected my pay. It was sickening to smell rat urine probably for the first in my life.

Event reminded me of my former classmate Essie, at Umass Boston. Essie was an intelligent classmate of mine. We both were in the Dispute Resolution program at Umass Boston. I was in for the Master of Arts degree. Essie had another idea of what to do for a master's degree. She went for dramatic writing instead. As far away as Singapore! She returned to the USA and wrote a play, I Was Loved By A Rat. I believe it must be very interesting, judging by her intelligence and creativity. I love writing plays but I'm not one to stick to any one thing and become a master at it. I'm still growing up. Haha! Anyway, click to read a review of Essie Martinsinkovsky play. I am yet to read the play and would love to have an opportunity.

Meanwhile, I really need an exterminator, but the problem is hydra-headed. I have neighbours who are just as committed to eradicating the menace as I. The problem, though, is that our rat neighbours are very smart and really are having a hay day on our machines. This rat pee has got to be the last straw for me. To learn more about my shop adventures and stuff like that read my other blog www.abiaventures.blogspot.com. And if you are in the US do read I Was Loved By A Rat. Send me a copy if you can. Details: orielmexpress@gmail.com. And give Essie a hug from me. Take good care.
