Weekend Highlights: Let There Be Light...And There Was No Light

Hello, everybody. I sneaked into a cyber cafe to keep my promise of making this a weekend affair. I would like to blog more often but I can't afford it right now. I have explained why and yes, another big reason is that I'm from the dark continent. You guessed right. I'm African. I'm dark and beautiful. But I'm not really talking about hues right now. It's about my inability to be a creator. So, I'm thinking of becoming a magician instead.

You know how we read in the holy scriptures, the Bible this time around and we are told: "And God said, Let there be light..." You know the rest. I try to do that sometimes when I get home from work and the whole place is dark. When I turn on the switch and say my magic words, "Let there be light" I'm greeted with darkness no thanks to NEPA, his son PHCN and his grandson EEDC. Perhaps something is wrong with my magic words. I need to go to Azumini to relearn them (Note: I've only passed through Azumini on my way to Ikot Ekpene).

In the newspapers, somebody said something about going after looters. Yes, go after them especially the looters of our electric power supply such as Ghana, Chad, Cameroon and other neighbours to whom we supply power. Haba! Imagine giving all your food to your neighbour and you are still forming big boy while your child (or babe) is hungry. No, it's misplacement of priorities. Yes, Mr President sir. Go after them looters and afterwards we can enjoy the bounty harvest. You can imagine what I'll be writing on this page if there is constant power supply in my area, which power has been interrupted for over a month. Anyway, until ALL the looters are found and prosecuted, I remain Orielm Express.
