Idoma are a few of Nigerian ethnic groups that have retained much of their traditional religion and polytheism. They have diverse religions and their families are usually polygamous. They are mostly farmers who rely on the lush and rich grassland to farm many produce especially yam. (I like Benue yam for poundy - pounded yam). And there is a lot of bush meat in Benue State. Bush meat is game (it's also slang for an undeveloped young woman - don't go there for that type of bush meat, you are warned!)
Benue women are catching up with the rest of the world in formal education. Many of them are engaged in the professions of the day like the rest of the country. Many of their women are nurses, who work in the hospitals, others are teachers, doctors, actors, and other professionals. Traditionally, they are farmers and petty traders who sell the farm produce in the markets. Benue State farm produce are sought for in many parts of the country, no wonder the state is called the Food Basket of the Nation. And their women, they are very beautiful.
One thing that annoys me about Idoma women is their tolerance of polygamy. A young woman would rather be a second, third, or whatever wife than remain single.

Nigeria has honoured some Idoma women among who are Ene Maya Lawani who was once a Miss Nigeria.
Classy beauty, Ene Lawani, is Idoma from Benue State
Here are pictures of other women from Idoma land. Do share pictures of other Idoma women known to you
