I don't know how to get around yakking and doing my job. So I decided to do the latter. I work all week and I have the weekend to yak away. So, I'm going to do that on Weekend Highlights.
When I've got gossip to spread I'll do it on WH. When I'm not happy with PMB - no not my Postal Mail Bag, but President Muhammadu Buhari, I hope to do it on Weekend Highlights. That way I reserve my sanity. The good news though is that I'm so busy with work that I ignore Nigeria. I take a look at the newspaper headlines and off I go. I don't even get to do blog hopping any longer. *Sigh#. With weekend highlights, which is in the spirit of Orielm Express, I'll go at it with caution. Caution is always good for student drivers. I'm a rookie, I've told you that before.
I have a critical eye - eyes that see so much to criticize. I tend to see all the bad things before anybody else. For instance, I bought some nice food that I'm going to eat someday and on the pack I read "Ass some milk...." I lost my appetite. I can always add some milk and eggs to my meal, my good friends and I'm going to do that one of these days. No, Weekend Highlights isn't going be about critiques. I'm going to have fun and tell you about it. Hopefully, it's going to take me to Crunchies Fried Chicken or Durables or...and I'm going to talk about some of their fun foods. Erm...
This past week eh! The Highlight goes to the colloquium that I attended yesterday, which had as its theme: Is marriage necessary for happiness in Life? It was organized by The St. Bridget's Institute, part of The St. Bridget's Schools in Aba, Abia State. Are you surprised? A colloquium in Aba of all places and not on how to get customers from Uyo and Calabar pay for two and go home with one? No, Aba people aren't like that. We are darn honest people.
Weekend Highlights will be what it will be - unloading the week's business as it happens on the native, local, global and universal scenes. Don't ask me for my sources. Some things are better left unsaid.
