Insecurity, Nigeria Police Force and Nigerian Youth

A few hours ago, a young man was flogged mercilessly before being taken away by men of the Nigeria Police Force. This was at Eze Iheme Junction, Okpu Umuobo Road, today Friday 23, July, 2021. His offence? He allegedly stole a kettle and a MB player. Will he return? Was he able to reach help from family, friends or an emergency contact? What's the future of dispatch services?

Update: I thought this post was published until I realized that it's still unpublished. As of today, July 28, 2021, I didn't hear again about the whereabouts of the boy taken away by the men of the Nigeria Police Force nor what became of him.

I believe that police should tell people where to find a person they have taken away to the station. It shouldn't be a state secret.
