Oscars 2016 and the Lessons to the World

Today, I'm interested in the Oscars and the controversy that has accompanied the 2016 Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) award. The 88th Academy Award is billed to take place tomorrow February 28, 2016 in the Dolby Theatre, Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, USA. Its host is actor Chris Rock. And the network to tune into is ABC. Time is slated for 5.30pm pacific standard time (PST). There will be 24 categories in the awards. The nominees for the Awards were announced on January 14, 2016 at 5.30am PST in Beverly Hills, California. The Revenant received the most nominations totaling 12 in all, followed by Mad Max: Fury-Road, which garnered 10 nominations. The Martian got 7 nominations; Carol, Bridge of Spies and Spotlight all got 6 nominations. Star Wars: The Force Awakens garnered 5 nominations. The Danish Girl and Room got 4 nominations, while Ex Machina, Inside Out and Steve Jobs received 2 nominations each. Now to the main gist: Many people already know that some controversy accompanied the announcement of the Oscars nominations of the movies produced  in the USA and Canada in 2015. First, veteran actor Neil Patrick Harris announced that he would not host the Academy Award for a second time. According to an interview released from The Huffington Post, he is credited to have said:

"I don't know that my family or my soul could take it. It's a beast. It was fun to check off the list but for the amount of time spent and the understandable opinionated response, I don't know that it's a delightful balance to do every year or ever again."
